10. Singkamas / Manggang hilaw sawsaw Bagoong
9. Dirty Ice Cream – the cheese flavor have actual cheese bits in them!
8. Cotton Candy – although the pink and lime green ones actually taste the same, I still used to buy both at the same time when I was still in elementary.
7. Itlog ng pugo/ quail eggs – bus trips to my hometown to Cavite isn’t complete without these.
6. Taho – as a kid, we used to buy from a guy named Mang Joel who looks like William Martinez.
5. Balot – while my dorm mates eat this with the lights turned off, I can eat this in broad daylight.
4. Squid Balls / Kikiam – what’s UP Diliman life without squidballs and kikiam? The best pantawid-gutom ever especially when you’re nagtitipid!
3. Inihaw na Pusit – spent almost 2 years of my college life in UP Baguio and inihaw na pusit is one of my barkada’s favorite after-school merienda. The stall in Burnham Park and the one in Mines View are really yummy-good!
2. Adidas – my parents used to discourage us from buying from our village kanto, but when they discovered just how good this is, Adidas has become a regular afternoon treat when I was in highschool.
1. Fishballs – everybody’s all-time favorite! After graduating from college, I still frequent the fishball foodcarts in the College of MassCom and the College of Music.
Happy eating!
