Are you on Facebook, Myspace, Friendster or other social network sites? This new blogging site got its own way to get users by the simple one question " What are you doing?" Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read other users' updates known as tweets. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length which are displayed on the user's profile page and delivered to other users who have subscribed to them (known as followers). Senders can restrict delivery to those in their circle of friends or, by default, allow anybody to access them.

Website Branding. Twitter is a social media platform you can use to build your website brand.
Network for benefits. Twitter can be used as a socializing platform for you to interact with other like-minded people, especially those in the same industry.
Provide Live coverage. Twitter’s message size limit prevents detailed coverage of events but it can allow you to provide real-time commentary which may help to spark further discussion or interest on the event as other Twitter users spread the message. Very useful for citizen journalism.
Get Feedback. Need an alternative perspective on how a website looks or the right course of action to take? Blast out a message asking for advice and you’ll receive replies from other users.
