When Kris Allen was declared the new American Idol tonight, I cried. Ok, exag yun. I was teary-eyed. He may be inconsistent during the season's span, but his performances always move me. May sincerity kasi. Parang his heart reaches out to his audience, hindi pang-perform lang. Hindi naman sa pinaparinigan ko si Adam Lambert. Adam is walang katulad, hindi matatarawan. As Paula Abdul put it, he's going to be "iconic." Mukha naman, eh. But si Kris, he's tiny and insecure and obviously not Simon's fave, but he's genuine! Hindi kelangan tumili para marinig mo ang talent.

And yes, I always always root for the underdog. Not intentionally, pero pansin ko, yun ang pattern ko.

My highschool friend J is back in the workforce again after years of being a SAHM (stay at home mom). I admire her for being brave enough to leave her comfort zone, although i know na mas gusto niyang mag-hands on mom pa rin kay E. I am witness sa pagiging dedicated, self-sacrificing and humble mom and wife niya. Yes, I admire her so much that i had to blog about it here.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder daw. My husband has been in Davao since Tuesday. After 3 years of marriage, excited pa rin ako sa pag-uwi niya. In fact, I am still the wife who texts him kung what time siya uuwi after office para sakto ang pag-heat ng ulam sa kaldero.

It's surprising how I don't miss some things, activities and people na I once thought are important to me.

Ang out-of-context ng mga linya from past Sharon Cuneta films na pinilit isali sa BFF! Some scenes were funny, though. Mga batuhan at patudyadahan nila ni AiAi are funny. Chokoleit, who I really don't feel any fondness for especially sa Marina (nakakatakot siya dun!), has in fairness some aliw moments.

Ganda ng trailer ng Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince! And I guess motherhood has changed my outlook on some movies like the Transformers. Natatakot na ako sa visuals!

LSS: I'm walking on the moon. Each step I take is slow. I feel so light I could fly like a bird. In outerspace... in outerspace...

I'm starting to like Ruffa Guttierrez. Watching her in Ruffa and Ai whenever possible revealed to me that there's more to her than glam.
