Imagine a pristine white landscape. . .fir trees laced by flakes swirling through crisp, cold air borne by gusty winds. . .children gamboling merrily about and engaging in frenzied snowfights. . .their parents joyfully succumbing to the lure of Asia’s longest ice slide.

Now, you can experience and not just imagine all these!

Star City lets you savor an Alpine holiday at the same price you’d pay for a cinema ticket.  Snow World, said to be the biggest in Asia, is right at the heart of the country’s number one amusement park.

Utilising breakthrough technology that does not use any ozone –depleting refrigerants nor other chemicals harmful to the environment, this local winter wonderland allows visitors to experience real snow amid 15-degrees-below-zero temperature. This is a real treat for Pinoys who can’t afford to experience a continental winter, or are simply unable to travel.

Operated by Malaysian entrepreneur Thomas Choong, Snow World boasts of a 68-meter slide and also counts among its attractions the marvelous ice carvings by World Ice Sculpture Champions Frankie Lee, Jeffrey Ng, and Theo Gee, who all emerged winners in the annual competitions in Alaska.

So with the ber-months already here,  it’s time to think of making that white Christmas a reality. No visa required.

Snow World – Star City’s chill factor.
